Companies hiring/recruiting through GATE Score
As we mentioned early on, GATE Exam score is now increasingly being used by PSUs as the PSUs are finding it very difficult to organize recruitment exams for lakhs of engineering graduates all over the country every year.
The general process involves students submitting their GATE Registration numbers to these organizations. Candidates are short-listed based on their GATE Score and other factors as given in the notifications. Further recruitment process is conducted like Group discussion and Interviews for final selection.
Usually these companies realize how coveted their jobs are and make it a point to release the initial notification sometime between GATE notification and commencement of GATE Application process. This is to communicate to the upcoming graduates and job seekers that they will have to take GATE Exam to get into their companies.
The General pattern of “GATE Based Recruitment season” of any company follows the following schedule:
Notification : Around the Time of GATE Notification
Application Process : GATE Admit cards availability date to GATE Exam date (Around 1 month)
Recruitment Process : After GATE Results (Varies from company to company)
